Halloween

It was a fun night.

Origionaly i was going out by myself and meeting people and groups in town, but in a last minute change to the lineup Marc was releived of his post wedding taxi duties and joined in.

Dressing up as a monk/friar/friar tuck, I convinced him to dress up as he came in hoddie and jeans, so rummaged though the closet and got him my seed jacket from ff8.

We headed to the beach to meet Dan as the day is his birthday (explains so much) we played laser tag, which was suprisingly cheap and i came first, dan came last not getting a single kill.

We left them there and headed to the pub, and on the way explianing what was going on to a puzzeled group of Africans. They were really confused and wondered if it was a carnival.

We started drinking at Korova and then met Mike and his group and we then we headed out to bar crawl, we finally settled in Basement and there met the rpg society bash. After that we went to warehouse formally moshulu. it was very busy and was fun. Got some drinks and met stacie jay and jamie.

Intrestingly at the bar I met this girl, kat, and in the queue waiting for drinks we talked and she joined us for the night. She was very good looking and well out of my league. So doing what i do best, i passed her on to my friend marc, who got her number.

And at closing we headed home. A fun night was had by all.

Krautrock

Just saw a very good documentary on all things Krautrock. Features all the great 60-70s experimental bands like kraftwork, faust (which i have a signed gig ticket for) and other great acts. It was really good and featured music i havent heard for over 8-10 years! It was worth my tv license. It can be found on bbciplayer in the bbc4 section.

Sex, Lies, and Comic Books

What a weekend!

Mike the owner and well runner of my local comic book stuff took me to the BICS, the Birtish International Comic Book Show. It was kinda last minute as he asked me if i was avalible to be on standby if his original partner for the trip was not able to make it. And by Thursday he told me I was going.

So i sorted out my shifts at work with the greatest lie ever told. I was going to France. It had some truth to it though. As i needed previously my GCSE exam certificates due to the need to know what the exam board was for them for my teacher application form. So i said i had to go to france to go into boxes to the house my parents bought a while back and are doing up.

So with the time off, i was there at 7am for my ride down, which was free, as all i had to do was produce 60 quid at the hotel, an etap, and that was me sorted for the con too.

The giant van was ocupied by two guys that mike had roped into driving the van and we got on well. I was tired as i only slept around 3-4 hours due to sorting stuff out and packing, including giving dee my spare keys to come in and play Tales when i was away as she complains she cant be enough to keep playing it.

The trip was uneventful and it took only about 8 hours to drive to Birmingham. There we unloaded all of the comic book boxes, 60 in total... and they were heavy...

After that and sorted in the hotel, Mike and i went out for food. Where in a loacl fast food joints the poor staff had to deal with this guy who was changing his order every 10 seconds for like the whole 30 odd minutes we were there. It was just funny as when he got his order he then did the same thing but for how to cook it...

After that Mike wanted to go to see an old friend, and headed off to a bar to meet him, assuming it was some comic book releated person i was ok with it. We enter a latin resturant and we park ourselves at the bar there, and then the bartender making drinks suddenly lunged at Mike and said hello and stuff as an old friend would and i was shocked!

Then after some cocktails we left to go to a club where the launch party for the show was. There I met some of the comic book creators many wish to meet and some of the important behind the scenes guys in the buisness. It was strange to see them all as this bizzare close nit family allmost.

Then people left and we then realised we were in the worst club in the UK... So drunk we headed back into town. And mike askes me where to go, and i reply, not bothered. 5 mins later we are in a strip bar. Many more cocktails and naked women later we stumble out of the club, and i do mean stumble and then go to bed.

We get up really early on the Saturday to get to the place where we are setting up all the comics and some statues. It started well and i got some pics of star wars cosplay and the odd batman cosplays. the center had an Imax there and they were showing films for the event, and i went and saw star trek, and as i told a sad dee, they showed transformers 2.

At the end of the day we headed out to get food and ended up in pub with a chippy in it! GENIUS!!! Then we went to the Latin place for drinks, and had epic cocktails there for hours till the place closed for the night. Then Mike took us to a strip bar... again drank alot there and staggered out. And what happened in these clubs is best left a secret.

Sunday was ok, had fun got stuff i wanted and a very nice sketch. And then we packed up all the boxes and said our goodbyes.

Then we went out drinking.... and also had an amazing meal that was over 100 quid for the 4 of us! Then after some more epic drinking at the latin place again, we went to the hotel for bed as Mike headed to the strip joint again.

The following morning we left at 830 and headed north. And hit aberdeen at around 5 and unloaded all the stock and i got home at 630 to find dee playing Tales...

I had a really good weekend. This wasn't like the big cons in america, and it wasnt like an anime con, it was full of people who loved a medium that just crosses all boundries from old to young. And you wouldn't beleve just how kind these comic book guys are and also talented from the really young indie comic guy to the old vetran pro. I hate to say it but this was great and well was better then some of the anime cons i have been too. But i feel that is a bit biased but then my love of manga is just as equal to comics and well its the same stuff just different name. It was just a magical weekend of comics and booze, and where did the lies come into this? Well i was a dealer after all ;P

The new and the old

Since im not feeling well at the moment and the backlog of movies and tv shows are filling my hard drive at a frighting rate, im on a mission to get through them on my weekend off.

All the tv shows i watch are back on in america with new seasons. Heroes, fringe, etc are back, but not in any way to make much of any impact really. But house was good very good. Picking up from the end of the last season in good style and it was a double episode that just went by. Unlike heroes double which wasnt very good, the show has been lacking for some time, but it has ray park (darth maul) in it so i guess it could be worth my time...still.

Also i have all the epidoes of the Justuce league and its sequal show JL unlimited. It's something i should have done a long time ago but never got round to it.

Add to this some new shows i got out of intrest and a lot and i mean a lot of aisan movies and anime to catch up on i guess a weekend wont do it... Add to that my video games i got stuff to keep me busy.

Guilty geek pleasure

A new cartoon is on in the americas right now. Super Hero Squad. It's the Marvel comic book charcters in what can only be described as their chibi forms and it's great! I thought it was great! But it is a biased opioin though. But its sooo funny. The humor is there is layers. Im sure the kids wont get it but the geeks will. But its just great, it has a cool plot that im liking. Dr Doom had the "Infinity Sword", and in a fight with Iron Man and the super hero squad, Captain America and co, it got broken into all these shards. It seems that the shards all have cosmic powers and so they have to find them all before the villians as they will get cosmic powers and also give the shards to Doom and then he will take over the world.

It has an intresting cast. Here is a list,

• Shawn Ashmore (X-Men films) as Iceman
• LeVar Burton (Ali, Roots) as Rhodey
• Taye Diggs (Private Practice) as the Black Panther
• Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) as Dormammu
• Greg Grunberg (Heroes) as Ant-Man
• Mark Hamill (Star Wars) as the Red Skull
• Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles) as the Black Widow
• Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) as Sif
• Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Ugly Truth) as Stardust
• Wayne Knight (Seinfeld) as Egghead
• James Marsters (Smallville, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) as Mr. Fantastic
• Jennifer Morrison (Star Trek, House) as the Wasp
• Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) as Hawkeye
• Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Meet The Spartans) as Ka-Zar
• George Takei (Heroes, Star Trek) as Galactus
• Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gossip Girl) as the Valkyrie
• The cast is also joined by comics legend Stan Lee in a recurring role as the Mayor of Super Hero City

Thats like wow...

Mind blowing stuff.

Also random things like the guy who is the voice of Dr Doom, a long time animation voice actor did starscream in the recent transformers film. Another actress did the voice of Arcee, and another did the voices of the worst racial crime in cinema history in the decade doing the voices of Wheelie and Skids.

The thing is it works. There are 2 epsiodes out now but it's just great fun and i can't stop laughing as the characters are all in character but also they spoof themselves. It's perfect for a freek like me!!! XD

Painful day....

One of the many dangers of working in a fast food resturant, no really its not a safe place to work, i got scolded by hot fat!

This wasn't hot fat from the fryers, but hot fat from the trays that hold the meat patties that we use in special hot holders to keep them warm. However as we have gone through different broliers over the years to cook your food, the latest model drops them into the pan, plus all the ozzing and dripping fat. Before the fat was drained away so there was not pan full of hat grease. And as it sits there in the pan it ozzes out more fat too.

And you have to be on your toes as you can get cought out very easy with this problem.

So i got it all on my arm and shoulder and hair....

It hurt like hell and my shoulder kinda stings a bit.

Not the first major injuryuy. I've had some deep cuts on my hands, mainly finger, cuts and brusies on my arms, also a very bad scold mark on my arm, and the ocasional splash of hot oil from the fryers. It's not a safe place to work. And we get paid minumum wage....T_T

Kamen Rider W (Double)

Now that Decade has gone into epic cliffhanger tbc in a movie, so spring next year then... The KR people have a new show, Kamen Rider W, but i guess the way they say W sounds like double so I guess it's also right to call it Kamer Rider Double aswell.

It's not a bad first episode. The intro for the characters is really breif and jumps straight into the action head on. The show looks like its gonan be full of comedy but not so much that it starts to be more a comedy show then an action show, they seem to have the mix down on that point. Also it seems that they beleve that just going over the top to pretty much confuse you into beleving it works, and it kinda does.

Well here is your SPOILER WARING, after the cut! )

The weekend

It was ok. Heading down to glasgow for Andrew's Birthday, with Dee and Lex, was an easy trip as we weren't going at 5 in the morning as usal.

The trip was ok, Lex found the trip very long but i guess we all did when we first did the trip those many years ago.

When we got there we did some last minute shopping mainly for some drinks and getting a card, wrapping paper/bag. I had to get wrapping paper for andrew's present, but got a bag instead.

We then got to Tom and Nick's flat. Its really nice. Its also huge!. I guess the rent is terrible for that place. For me it was going to be a fine night, that and no one smokes and Nick the only owner who was there at the start said that he didn't want any smoking at the flat. There was some vodka around, mine and someones smirnoff and a bottle of midori. Then some time later Tom, arrived with others and then things started to get going as sometime later they all got changed and we had fun.

There was epic ammounts of cake and cake and cake...

But we got pizza, it took awhile as we tried to get a discount code to work on it.

Then some time after that, speaking to Tom who said it was fine to smoke outside on their balcony (which is an epic balcony, even if the view isn't the best!) everyone was leaving or getting tired so it was to bed.

I was still kinda awake, tired but not sleepy. But i did bring my stash of comics and psp to use on the train. I then went to turn of the main lights in the living room, which was kinda tough as there were alot of switches on the wall. Turning on and off the lights switchs till the lights turned off i went to the chair i was in and played my psp. Apparently i may have also inadvertantly turned off their fridge and washing machine, not something i would have done deliberalty.

I woke up not to early, as our train back was early, and we were away. The train was a bit longer in the trip as it was hitting most of the stops on the way back, but we got to Aberdeen with about 30 mins for Dee to go home and change for work at 1. Lex had to get some drying racks so i showed her where poundland and poundstrecher were and i headed on home.

Overall it was a good night out.

Beatles Rockband

Right, its a great game. Nuff Said.

It's got 45 songs on it and they sound great. And unlike other band title games, its all beatles!

Its fun to play, and hard to not sing along, which would be good if i had a mic stand... They game is out on Wednesday and someone heard my prayers and it came in the post today. It didn't take me long to complete the game but i still have a lot of acheivments to work on that i can resonably get.

But sadly while belting out on the drums it seems that after a while my fingers stuck holding the sticks and in peeling them off it hurt somewhat. And hours later my fingers still hurt quite a bit. But it was fun and the only thing that was amusing was the music store was not there, either due to the fact i have the game pre-release or the store isn't going to be online for some time. There was a code on the manuel but with no info for what it is for, but i think its there so i can port the songs onto the hard drive to play with rockband 2.

But i dont know if its the xbox or the game but during some of the songs the game crashes for a moment looping a segment of the song freezing the gameplay and then it starts again. I can pause during this and restart the song and not have the problem. Not sure if this is a bug or a sign my xbox is going to implode. But then again the elite and its coverted 120gig HD is now down to 200 quid. Thats not bad considering that the hd alone costs 100 pound, plus the elite like the newer xboxs have hdmi which my first gen doesn't.

Tales of not convinceia

I'm not sold on this game at all. I clocked around 45 hours (mainly left on overnight for an achievment...) but i guess i've probly clocked in 10-12 hours of actual game play.

Characters are introduced well and are portrayed ok. There is plenty of character devlopment and it really does work out but slows the game down a bit. The dub work is ok, i guess, estell's voice i had to deal with but i've kinda just gone with it.

The gameplay is ok, the graphics are good and the gradual battle system is ok but annoying as its taking time to do cool stuff in battle.

The whole game seems lost right now, story wise. I just don't seem to be sold on the plot. the game is good, but right now there is no real story, there is something coming plot wise, as well some stuff has happened which aren't as plot twisting as they should be. Making me go, 'And next..' and certain plot points are being dropped so you can remeber them for later. But its just that one has been playing for ages and still no real plot to draw me in further. As far as a i can say the games plot still is at this point, is to still get a blastia for the poor town section.... But i'm sure when i have a crack at it again later on the plot will rear its ugly head and away we go. But it's taking its sweet sweet time doing so.

However, as a fustrating hint of things to come, i found a hat, with a name that started with 'Pa..', a hint to the missing character Patty Fleur, some pirate girl that will be in the ps3 version, which apparantly is more a remake then a port with extra stuff.

Also going through the game's DLC, I was shocked to see that its all useless. Unless you got tons of money and want to get a very good head start. Pretty much all the DLC does is give you levels, items, money, skills, and titles. All of which state are all avalible in game. But the appeal of starting at level 30 or 40 may appeal to some gamers, but then why buy a rpg game if your not going to strugle with levels? There are 35 downloads and its sad that these wont be extras like Patty Fleur or any of the extras coming on the ps3.

But in the world of rpgs there is still plenty of time for the game to turn around and be a game of genius. And even though i have many rpgs, of the ones i have played this is my second favourate, but then that is a list of only 8 i have actully played and of them only 2 are completed...

Tales for me!!!!

I got a copy.... well not yet.

But later on lol.

It's a preowned copy, at a gamestation shop down on the edge of aberdeen. Its a blockbuster, which had a gamestation, but then the place became blockbuster games. I've gone geeky in there before due to the fact they had a King of Fighters game there that i had not seen anywhere and bought it straight away.

However as i write i have a migrain....

So i will have to dope myself up and head out. It's a bit far to walk, and im not sure the buses are still striking. But the shop is open till 10 so i have plenty of time to sort this out.

Update

I got it!! woot.

I notice the box says there is DLC for the game, it could be the pirate character and stuff thats on the ps3. But if not there is that version.

Sep. 1st, 2009

No tales for me....

Aberdeen has no copies of tales of vesperia.

Period.

I phoned one shop, and went to all the others. They knew what the game was and they were familar with dealing with the request for said game. One of the Game managers said he got about 5 copies on release and has not seen any more come in, the other Game said they had it but went same day. Also Gamestation mentioned i was the fifth person that day and it was only 1230pm!

So now all i can do is a) ebay, b) wait for ps3 version. I'm gonna go for the latter and probly get that imported from the states, as it probly wont come over to europe.

Long Weekend

Well another week another dollar...

Normally i dont work saturdays and well i got another close shift. Boo.

On the friday right after work, as i dont take it with me much, i had a text from Dee asking if i wanted to see GI Joe with her again. I was going to say no, due to money and just got home from work but i had nothing better to do.

A second time around it went down better. Sadly the cinema was still showing a faulty print that they used when i first saw it. Dee liked it which made me happy, but i dont think it won her over as she covered her face for most of the movie due to its violence and gore, guess its ok if its robots....

On the Sunday i dedicated myself to gaming, having neglecticed my consoles for some time. I finished Prototype and i enjoyed it alot. I have finished the game's story but not all the silly mini games, or the web of intrigue which fills in back story and all the hidden icons. But i dont have time to play it through plus the growing pile of other games. So after that i went back to Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad which i got on the cheap at game some time back and its just time wasting, so im leaving it aside for now, i was gonna play too human, but i have fable 2 from a friend so im playing that. It's ok but im having more fun earning money pouring drinks, chopping wood and making swords then the game itself, i have way too much money for my own good right now.....

Today i thought i started work at 5 so i got in for 5 and found out i was rotaed for 6 so i went to asda and spent 30 mins wondering if i should buy laberinth on blu-ray. Then i shrugged and went to dunelm mill and bought a sewing machine, a nice small dinky one, thats also battery powered for 20 quid.

http://www.dunelm-mill.com/product/Fabric%20Sewing%20And%20Knitting_Sewing%20Machines/7911.htm

Its a start and something to get to grips with over time.

Also im getting up to date with all things Kamen rider. I have 20 episodes of deacade to watch and movies from the previous shows and random stuff and music videos. Plus a rabid daniel waiting in the wings to come and copy it all before it ends up in my epic dvd graveyard of stuff.

I have the day off tommorrow and im gonna see if i cant find tales of vesperia the only game i have to leave the house for, as all this months games have been bought online (final fantasy Disdeada disdiddy...., Cross Edge, and Rock Band Beatles!!!), its probly not gonna be here in this city at all, but there are a few places i can try, as there are 2 Games, a gamestation and a decent indie shop, solid gold games to try and see if they have a copy. Looking on the internet, game and gamestation's websites both have the game sold out...
And on ebay some idiot from america is selling the guide book for $100 (approximately £61.28), even though in the preview pictures it shows the price on the front of the book and the back, as $19.99. The postage is $20. If it sells i would be surprised. I'm gonna watch it and see if it does lol.

Also i bought season 1 of Chuck on blu-ray from the states. Its region free so i can watch it here and its a show i really like a lot, sadly the next season set isnt due out till next year and season 2 was a really good. The show is a funny mix of action, spys, drama, romance, and comdey with a dash of geek. I spent a long time at aya planing a chuck skit for amecon, singing Mr roboto by styx, its good but in the geeky kinda way. Sadly its only on virgin 1 on sky etc, so not many have seen it but its big in the states though.

Ayacon report

Well its been a week since the con and now i finally get round to posting about it...

Dee and I decided that the nest way to go down was to travel early the day before and not have to get up early on the day and be tired the whole trip. This semi failed as neither of us slept due, and we had a train at 530am. We survived and met andrew and when to his home in Ayr, a rough hour train trip.

There we all worked on cosplay, I finished very quickly, due to the ammount of work i had to do and the limitation of my sewing skills, then got some sleep. I woke up some time later and played Star Ocean 5 for a bit and got bored and then went to sleep.

Cue the thursday trip down. With all our stuff at Ayr station, we make our way to glasgow and jump onto the train to england. There was panic as andrew lost his side bag, and jumped of the train minutes before it left to see if his bag was left where we sat waiting for the train. He came back on just seconds before it left. Checking everywhere i note that he may want to check his suitcase, as he was in that alot in the station, due to him still working on his cosplay. So when he gets the chance there is his missing bag.

When we get to Coventry I get the offer of a ride to the university the con is held by some good friends of mine, so we split luggage, the rest go by taxi and i go by car. But we got lost. We had no idea where to go on the campus and after many phone calls and asking for diresctions we find the place on campus to meet people, and sort out luggage and i get sorted in my room.

A local friend of mine Jeff, was my room mate, and we had one key.

He pretty spent the enitre con in drag...

So on the friday I wore my fav cosplay, Ritsu from K-ON. Got some pretty good comments, some bad ones but they weren't too bad. I went all out and even shaved my legs! I was really happy with the cosplay and how i turned out. I wore it all friday.

Saturday, I wore Kon for the last time. I say last time but i will wear it again. But it got stinky... Yeah about 5 hours later it started to smell a bit so i called it a day and went and got changed and had a bath/shower. And i missed the masquerade... Which i shouldnt have! There was an intro video which had me in my Kon outfot from minamicon's masquerade, and it had a big cheer lol.

Sunday
Was nerve day. I found the room i was running the kaiju panel and it was huge! I got very nervous and spent alot of saturday night, smoking and working on the presentation. So later on i ran it and it went well, it was a lot of fun, and people came to me that night and told me it was very good and one of the best events of the con. So im spurred to run one at Ame now. The dealears room was dissapointing. A lot of overpriced stuff, and my haggling plan failed as when i went to the room they closed it.

At the end of the day we had the skits and they were all rubbish, boring, midly amusing, till the team giblets skit came on. It got a standing ovation, but it was really good as everything else was well... avaerage at best.

Then the auction came, i lost out on pikachu but i guess no matter how high i got the group of team rocket would have matched it...

That night some goodbyes for some people who i wouldnt see on the monday and then it was the return trip.

Monday, was pretty uneventful. Getting our luggage on the train sorted was a bit of an effort. But we did, somehow. At glasgow i said goodbye to all our fellow scot con travelers. And with aorund 45 mins to waste Dee and I waited for our train. We got to aberdeen at a decent time and after some unpacking and sorting stuff in the flat. I went to bed. As to sum up the con it was a blaze of sleepless nights, drinking, smoking and Ritsu!!!

Aug. 11th, 2009

last minute pack!

I leave first thing tommorrow and im packing now! It should have all been done yesterday but due to things like work, cosplay and such i didnt get round to it.

Plus i have to help Dee so theres that, and i need to finish off the Godzilla pannel stuff. So i will now be up all night again.

There hasnt be a night before a con where i went to bed before i left here.... nice to keep traditions....

Aug. 9th, 2009

Saturday night, rocking with the burgers.

For the first time in over a year i did a Saturday night close at Burger King. It was extremly boring. Till one of the staff pulled out his speaker system and we plugged in our ipods and rocked the night away. Playing lots of rock music made the time pass, as we rocked to zepplin and the who and other great rock bands old and modern. This really helped pass the time.

Due to the close i pretty much had my plans for the weekend ruined. All of which was shopping and chores and cosplay work. It now all has to be squeesed into my Sunday.

But i did go to Dee's mainly as we agreed this would be done some time back. I came round to draw and help her do her cosplay, leading to some funny moments. And as Dee commented, we could totally base a sitcom on us.

So now its the prep work, spent a long time at work creating a plan for the next 3 days. So now i have to get up early so i can get it all done...

But if all goes to plan this should all be sorted.

J.I.Joe

It was great. I actully enjoyed it, i was nervous and excited when i went to see it. The fact the people behind transformers were involved i was hoping it wouldnt suck as bad as that but it was 10x better, but then anything is better then transformers.

It was great but it's end is really clunky as its like doing its best to set up the sequeal.

The action was great, ninja action was awesome, and the accelorater suits turned out to be pretty decent in the end.

Overall, its fun, exciting full on action. Will see this again soon.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete Review

Right after like 4-5 hours of watching the disk i am finished.

Mainly as i watched all the special features before i watched the main film as they all fill in the background and set up the films sub-plots.

It was a one time almost a ritual event to see Advent Children with the Aberdeen Anime Society. If memory serves me right the society showed it 4 or 5 times. The only problem was that there was some fat guy at the back heckling the film with the phrases 'I don't get it.' and 'Who's that?'

But now 5 years later the epic CG movie is back with about 30 mins of new footage and 1000 revised scenes exclusively on Blu-Ray.

It's a better film, but really it still effectively makes people who haven't played FF7 or the now expanded universe aka the final fantasy 7 compilation left high and dry in the dark. The disk like the dvd set has the 30 minute condensed version of the games story in the special features to enlighten you.

Anyway, spoliers below here.

The film is really good, from a technique stand point. Even with CG films like Ice Age 3 and Kung Fu Panda, this really shows how good CG animation can be and this was made, well the original version, in 2004. It really is a fan film though as I was that fat guy having not played a single final fantasy game till 2007, and i still haven't played final fantasy 7 yet...

The film looks amazing, really it does. running at 1080p and in a perfect transfer it looks great, and you can see all that painstaking detail that the makers have done to make this jaw droppingly good. The opening vista shot of Midgard is just eye bleeding as you see the city in perfect detail and you can see cars and everything moving in crystal clarity.

What is so special with this version is that it has some extra scenes and extended scenes. I laughed at the stupid opening shot where Red XII is there with his children looking at Midgard 498 years in the future where its post apocolyptic and the city has been taken over but weeds. No, really every one is dead and the city is a weed paradise ala I Am Legend. then it goes to about 2 years before Advent Children for a new scene and then goes into the film.

The film really is a fan film, if you don't knwo the story of ff7 and even though it even gives you a breif story expalntion at the start your in trouble. Such as charcters appear and if you dont know the mythos then well all you can do is sit back and enjoy the CG I guess....

I saw it when it came out and had no clue. I liked the film for what it was but I hated the film as it was like seeing the last Matrix movie or Revenge of the Jedi with out ever seeing the previous films. And even though this has 30 mins of extra stuff its still the same.

One of the bonus features is an anime called On the Way to a Smile - Episode Denzel. It tells the back story of a boy called Denzel who is the kid that lives with Cloud and Tifa in the movie. It feels pointless, alot of his back story is showen in the film's new scenes. At least the anime is in HD too. No last order though the anime short on the dvd release (depending on where you got it) as that is now the psp game Crisis Core.

The best special feature is not the 10 min preview of final fantasy 13, which looks good but im more intrested in the final fantasy 13 versus as it looks soooo much better. But it is the Reminiscence of Final Fantasy 7 Compilation. Mainly as its all in Japanese so you get to hear Gackt (lengendary Japanese Jpop Jrock God) speak as the villan Genesis from Crisis Core and it allso shows you footage from the mobile phone game Before Crisis which has not been released outside of Japan. And it looks like a very good game which annoyingly has A LOT of back story.

Overall the disk is a must get for HD fanatics and final fantasy fans. Having only completed 12 and crisis core and sooooo close to finishing off 4, 7 is a real enigma to me. As i personaly prefer 8 then 7. But the main reason is probly that crisis core was actually good and made Zack better then what Cloud could even be. The only detail missing from Cloud is a bracelet saying, WWZD.

On course

Right, everything is starting to fall into place now.

I've gone wireless now and so im back online with eveything. Got my final fantasy 7 download done on the ps3. Got all the downloads on the xbox i want and on the dsi.

Ordered my cosplay and its getting done. They said round 12 days to make and then 7-10 for delivery. So it should be here before i leave.

Got my railcard. It was a bit of an ordeal but i got it. So my total of money i owe dee is 80 quid. We will meet next in a few weeks as i can give her money and sort out our travel plans for aya and so i can paint her.

Sorted out my pay for aya spending money. I worked hard this week and last week. So i should have a fair ammount for aya when it comes. Now for the next 2 weeks at work i need to put effort in as i have to now work up my bill money.

On other news i got an email from the expo people. Studio Bones are going to expo, really exciting news. As the rest of the guests aren't too big at the moment.
